On July 1, 2007, Aga Khan Economic Planning Board for Hunza
organized a daylong exhibition with the collaboration of
Agriculture Department Northern Area, AKRSP, KADO and
various other local women and village organizations from
Hunza and Nagar. Besides cultural and musical show, a
variety of displays and stalls were established by
governmental agencies; NGOs, women owned enterprises and
special people, ranging from organic food, agricultural
related medicine, technology, handicrafts; gem and jewelry
produce locally by women at Gems cutting and polishing
center-KADO Karimabad, stock exchange, blood grouping,
carpets and garments etc.

More than 8000 men and women visited stalls and participated
in the show. Local musicians kept the Programme livelier.
Captain Sikandar, advisor for food agriculture and
Livestock, government of Pakistan, Northern Areas was the
chief guest, several other government and NGOs high
officials participated in the programme. All the
stakeholders and interest groups appreciated AKEPB and
requested for frequent such exhibition.
